PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition for treating hair excellent in feeling of use, capable of suppressing damage to the hair and having ultraviolet light shielding functions. SOLUTION: This composition for treating hair is obtained by formulating 5-20 wt.% of a silk protein prepared by pulverizing a silk produced by a domesticated silkworm or a wild silkworm into fine particles having 1-100μm particle diameter in purified water.
