PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator car structure allowing easy fabrication and assembly for two cases, with and without joints between the side plates of elevator car. SOLUTION: A side plate 2a is joined with a car corner pillar member 1b by a fastening nut 10 and bolt 11 while another side plate 2b is joined with a car corner pillar member 1c by a fastening nut 8 and bolt 9. Accordingly the assembly works can easily be executed whether with or without joints of side plates by adjusting the fastening position of each corner pillar member.
