PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject organosilicon compound having a specific structure, thus capable of capping polymer terminal(s), and capable of affording at least one most reactive hydrolyzable group on the terminal of a polymer chain. SOLUTION: This organosilicon compound is such one as to have a structure of formula I or formula II [R1, R1' and R2 are each a 1-18C hydrocarbon containing no aliphatic unsaturated group; X and X' are each a halogen, alkoxy, acyloxy or ketoximo; t is 2 or 3; n is 0, 1 or 2; Z is a 2-18C bivalent hydrocarbon containing no aliphatic unsaturated group or a combination of a bivalent hydrocarbon with a siloxane segment of formula III (G is a 2-18C bivalent hydrocarbon containing no aliphatic unsaturated group; c is 1-6)]. The compound of formula I is obtained by mixing an organohydrogensiloxane of the formula R14-(t+1)Si(O-SiR22H)t+1 with an organosilicon compound of the formula Y- SiR2nX3-n (Y is a combination containing one aliphatic unsaturated group-contg. 2-18C hydrocarbon or the like).
