PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply sufficient lubricating oil from respective through holes provided in a main shaft without depending on the change in centrifugal force due to the increase or decrease in inputted transmitted torque in a toroidal type continuously variable transmission. SOLUTION: In a toroidal type continuously variable transmission provided with a power roller 4 for performing the delivery of transmitted torque by frictional engagement between input-output discs 2, 3, and a main shaft 18 which is inserted in a rotary shaft common to the input-output discs 2, 3, a loading cam 9, and a drive gear 13 and which is formed as a hollow shaft to jet lubricating oil supplied from one end part side into the inside from plural through holes 24, 24a, 24b axially provided, plural partitions 20 are provided in the axial direction on the inner peripheral surface of the main shaft 18 to form plural oil paths 26, 26a, 26b and at least one through hole 24, 24a, 24b for every oil path 26, 26a, 26b are provided.
