PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation body of a drain valve device capable of performing operation lightly at all times and draining water from the inside smoothly. SOLUTION: A release 5 passes through a hole 11 of a body 9 and protrudes upward, and its upper end is connected with a pushbutton 7 through a shaft 12. When the pushbutton 7 is pressed, the release 5 performs a stroke. When the pushbutton 7 is pressed once, a cock lid 4 rises, and a drain valve device 2 is opened. When the pushbutton 7 is pressed once again, the cock lid 4 lowers, and the drain valve device 2 is closed. The pushbutton 7 is like a cap, and its side peripheral part covers an outer peripheral face of an upper part of a body 9. There is a passage 19 consisting of a clearance between the side peripheral part of the pushbutton 7 and the outer peripheral face of the upper part of the body 9.
