PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AC uninterruptible power system which can continue highly reliable and high quality AC power supply to a load, using effectively the power generated by a solar battery, when a commercial AC power source has gone off, in its turn can extend the back-up time for a storage battery, by suppressing the quantity of discharge of a storage battery, and also can continue the operation of the load without fail, even when capacity shortage is caused by deterioration or the like is occurring in the storage battery. SOLUTION: A solar light power generating unit 11, consisting of a solar cell 12 and a DC link converter 13, is connected to the output end of a rectifier 3. If a commercial AC power source 1 goes off (including instantaneous power failure), the DC link converter 13 links to the discharge of the storage battery 4, and the output power of the DC link converter 13 and the discharge power of the storage battery 4 is supplied to an inverter 5. |
