PREPARATION OF MODIFIED POLYBUTADIENE, MODIFIED POLYBUTADIENE AND RUBBER COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a modified polybutadiene which becomes a rubber component having a low rolling resistance and a high wet skid resistance when used as a rubber material for automobile tires. SOLUTION: In a preparation process of a modified polybutadiene, 1,3-butadiene is polymerized in the presence of a cobalt catalyst composition comprising a cobalt compound, a halogen-containing organic aluminum compound and water or a nickel catalyst composition comprising a nickel compound, an organic aluminum compound and a fluorine compound to obtain a polybutadiene, which is subsequently modified with an organosilicon compound having at least amino group and an alkoxy group.
