PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder in which power consumption is reduced and a time from generation of a recording request to a discharge of a recording sheet is shortened. SOLUTION: A recording unit 15 reflects an optical beam modulated by an input image signal by a polygon mirror, emits a photosensitive unit to form a latent image, develops, transfers and fixes the image and records the image on a recording sheet. A main control unit 11 makes an operation of an operating unit 13, an original set to a reader 14 to allow the unit 15 to record with possibility of starting a recording operation. Then, a fixing unit of the unit 15 starts rotation of the mirror after a heating of the fixing unit is started when a time required for heating the fixing unit to a predetermined temperature is longer than a time of stabilizing the rotation of the mirror. When it takes a time to feed the sheet, the rotation of the mirror is released after the feeding of the sheet is started. |
