PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent a single fiber from being isolated while smoothness of a surface and stability of a resin coat are excellent in a thermoplastic resin-coated fiber bundle wherein adhesion of a thermoplastic resin-coated layer to a reinforcing fiber bundle is high. SOLUTION: This fiber bundle contains a reinforcing fiber bundle constituted by collecting a plurality of lines of reinforcing fiber and thermoplastic resin. Then, the thermoplastic resin is allowed to exist in close contact to an outside of the reinforcing fiber bundle, a flat ratio of the thermoplastic resin-coated fiber bundle is made 1.5 to 55, the reinforcing fiber bundle is made 20 to 70 vol.% of the whole of the thermoplastic resin coated fiber bundle, and voids of the thermoplastic resin coated fiber bundle are made 15 to 50%.
