PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability and durability by detecting the input position of a handle in noncontact in input device equipment for a game machine or the like having a handle attached as an input device. SOLUTION: This device equipment is constructed in such a manner that a casing made of a resin is set as a body 2 and rotary-supported by inserting the handle shaft 5 of the body 2, an encoder 37 for detecting the steering angle of a handle 8 is disposed in the body 2, and in the handle facing surface of the body 2, a first protruded portion 34 extended around the handle shaft 5 by a specified length and protruded to the other side is formed, and a second protruded portion 35 is disposed in the handle facing surface of the body 2 to be extended around a handle shaft 4 by a specified length and protruded to the other side, and to be abutted on the peripheral direction end surface of the first protruded portion 23 when the handles 8 are steered respectively left and right by maximum angles from the position of a handle steering angle 0 deg.. A sheet-like reflecting plate 39 stuck to the protruded side tip surface 36 of the first protruded portion 34 and covering the tip surface 36 is detected by a light sensor 40 at the position of the steering angle 0 deg. of the handle 8, and a detecting signal is inputted to an encoder 37 as the home position of the steering angle operation of the handle 8.
