PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for a portable skin beauty apparatus which enables a user to carry out the beauty culture of the face skin by using galvanic ion current, far IR rays and vibration and to measure the skin state while easily carrying the skin beauty apparatus and a controller therefor. SOLUTION: The controller for the portable skin beauty apparatus includes a microcomputer 200 which controls the operation over the entire part of face skin beauty culture, a display section 210 which displays the state of the present operation of the skin beauty apparatus, a key input section 220 which inputs the operation instruction by the user's manipulation to the microcomputer, a galvanic ion current output section 260 which boosts the power source of a battery and outputs the galvanic ion current by control of the microcomputer with the boosted power source, a galvanic ion current detecting section 270 which detects whether the galvanic ion current outputted from the galvanic ion current output section flows to the user's face skin or not, a vibration generating section 280 which generates the vibration by the control of the microcomputer and a far IR generating section 290 which generates the far IR rays by the control of the microcomputer.
