PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a building material capable of improving productivity by simultaneously manufacturing a plurality of the building materials. SOLUTION: A surface material 2 like a veneer is laminated on an overall surface of a base material 1 having a large plate size and integrated to form an original plate material 3. Then, grooves 4 are formed on a surface side of the material 3 in response to a size of the building material 5 to be manufactured. The surface of the material 3 is surface finished such as colored or painted or the like. Thereafter, the material 3 is cut along the grooves 4 to form a plurality of the materials 5 of a predetermined size.
