PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition and a molded product thereof having an ultraviolet absorbing effect, transparency, processability and resinous characteristics, by dispersing in a polyester resin an inorganic, ultraviolet absorber. SOLUTION: A polyester resin composition, comprising a blend of 100 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic polyester resin with 0.01-5.00 pts.wt. of an inorganic, ultraviolet absorber having an ultraviolet absorbing effect and with a resin-based pigment dispersant which is a carboxylic acid-modified product of a polyethylene, polypropylene or ethylene/propylene copolymer and which has a molecular weight by a viscosity method of 500-10,000, in such a ratio R1 (R1 = an addition amount of the resin-based pigment dispersant/an addition amount of the inorganic, ultraviolet absorber) as to be in the range: 0.1<=R1<=5, is characterized in that the maximum particle diameter of the inorganic, ultraviolet absorber dispersed in the polyester resin base is 1μm or less. |
