PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caisson footing of honeycomb structure capable of bearing water pressure when a caisson is immersed without thickening a shell member and, at the same time, making lightweight to facilitate the construction. SOLUTION: An RC box body surrounded by an external wall frame 3 of a footing 1, a top slab 5 and a bottom slab 6 is immersed, and concrete is cast in the box body to construct a caisson footing of honeycomb structure. In that case, the box body has the external wall frame 3 with arch structure, a bulkhead 4 partitioning the inside of the box body is formed of honeycomb structure, and the external wall frame 3 is connected to the bulkhead 4. By the constitution, the RC box body performs function as a form when it is temporality provided, at the same time, the bulkhead of honeycomb structure is formed together with concrete to be cast as a unit to function as a completed structure, and it is advantageous to ensure the quality of reinforced concrete structure, since the conventional steel caisson is made to function as the form only.
