PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a melt spinning apparatus capable of efficiently and stably obtaining multifilaments having excellent quality while exhausting an accompanied air flow generated accompanying to running yarns when producing many fine denier multifilament yarns by cooling using a horizontal blowing device. SOLUTION: This melt spinning apparatus for fine denier multifilaments has a dividing plate 3 provided at a position between a lower part of a horizontal blowing device 2 and an oil agent supplying device 5 and facing to the blowing face of the horizontal blowing device 2 and interposing running yarns Y, where the upper face of the plate 3 is nearly horizontal, and the dividing plate 3 has plural opening parts on the upper face, and the area of the opening parts to the whole area is >=40% and the area of the opening part is <=400 mm2.
