PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and rapidly regulate an interval of circular saws fitted on a main spindle of a multi-blade sawing machine for sawing a peripheral edge of a plate material or resawing the material into a plurality of plates. SOLUTION: The sawing machine comprises a rotary shaft 1, a base shaft becoming the same rotatably coaxial center with the shaft 1, and a plurality of circular saws 26 axially movable on a main shaft 6 made of an outer cylinder disposed at a certain interval with an outer periphery of the base shaft, thereby connecting the shaft 6 to the saws 26 by an elastic deformation bulged from the cylinder when fluid is supplied into a gap between the base shaft and the cylinder. However, the shaft 6 is non-connected to the saws 26 by resetting to an original state of the cylinder when the fluid is discharged from the gap between the base shaft and the cylinder.
