PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a radiation area to be accurately recognized even when the concentration of a part in the imaging part of an X-ray image is almost equal to the concentration of a part out of the radiation area. SOLUTION: An X-ray image imaged by a solid state element 11 is inputted into an image reading control part 16. At that time, stopping information is inputted from a stopping directing part 18 to direct the stopping amount of an X-ray diaphragm 19 as well as distance information measured between the X-ray tube 12 and the solid state imaging element 11. The image reading control part 16 executes prescribed calculation to calculate the radiation area from the X-ray image.
