PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a combine harvester eliminated in troubles of abrupt accelerations of the harvesters in a start of traveling and capable of operating safely by retaining the revolution of an engine in the previously determined rated speed in a specific method. SOLUTION: This combine harvester has an engine 4 as the power source of a travel gear, a reaper, a thresher of the like, an engine revolution changing mean changing the revolution of the engine 4, a control device outputting a changing control signal to the engine revolution changing mean, a speed changing mean to carry out the speed change operation of the travel gear and a thresher switch to switch the rotating power to the thresher, and in the case of setting the revolution of the engine 4 almost the same as the previously determined rated revolutions, the control device outputs a control signal setting the time required to elevate the revolution of the engine 4 to the predetermined rated revolution by operating the speed changing mean slower than the time in the on switching operation of the thresher.
