PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling structure and cooling method in an apparatus, which hardly collects dust in the apparatus and at a ventilation hole. SOLUTION: A plurality of ventilation holes 1, 8 are provided to a box 4 of an apparatus. The box 4 is also provided with fans 2, 3 therein and a fan rotating means for allowing the fans 2, 3 to have normal rotation and reverse rotation, thus forming a cooling structure in the apparatus. The apparatus is provided therein with such a cooling method in which a first cooling for making an airflow from one portion of ventilation holes to the remaining ventilation holes with the normal rotation of the fans 2, 3, and a second cooling for making an airflow which is reverse to the airflow of the first cooling with the reverse rotation of the fans 2, 3, are alternately performed.
