<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain power condition in an appropriate state in the entirety of a device by monitoring the consumption of power in a composite device capable of carrying out a plurality of jobs in parallel, providing a means for indicating the initiation of the jobs, and controlling it not to execute jobs when the consumption of power is determined as exceeding a predetermined value. SOLUTION: A dow-engine effects the administration of power every block so as to monitor the consumption rate of power of the entirety of chips. Information of the consumption rate of power in each block is collected to a power administration unit 409, in which the consumption rate of power in each block is added to be administrated collectively so that its valve does not exceed the limit consumption rate of power. A power administration unit retains the value of the consumption of power in each level into a constitutional register 5401; then the consumption of power in each block is added in an adder 5403, and the whole consumption rate of power is calculated to subsequently be compared with the limit value of the consumption of power set in the constitutional register 5401 by means of a comparator 5404, and further in the case where it exceeds this value, an interruption signal is generated from an interruption generator 5405 in order to stop the system.</p> |
