<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a golfer to easily turn a head, to exactly hit a ball when swinging, to exactly make a shot toward a target and to increase a carry even with a large-sized head or long-sized club by setting the inertia moment around the shaft axis of the head and the centroid angle thereof at prescribed values or above. SOLUTION: This wood type head 4 of a golf club having the head 4 at the front end of the shaft 2 is set at >=5500 g/cm2 in the inertia moment M around the shaft axis A of the shaft 2 and at >=27 deg. in the centroid angleθ. The distances offset in lateral direction with respect to the target are relatively smaller with the golf club set with the inertia moment M and the centroid angleθin the manner described above. Then, the golfer is able to exactly capture and hit the ball by easily turning the head 4 and eventually, the golfer is able to make the shot exactly in the target direction without largely slicing and is able to increase the carry.</p> |
