PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely perform the mounting work of a cage internal part from the inside of a cage by using a side plate fastening member for connecting adjacent side plates to each other as a fastening member for the cage internal part. SOLUTION: A side plate connecting member 2 of side plate fastening member has a comb-tooth sectional profile, and it is provided with a plurality of bolt holes for fastening a cage internal part on the sectional center. It also has holes for inserting a bolt for connecting side plates on both the end flange parts. To mount a handrail 51 of cage internal part, the fastening member is mounted on the side plate by a bolt, and a handrail bolt is fastened to the central bolt hole. The non-used bolt holes are covered with a panel made of decorative steel plate. According to this, the handrail can be mounted from the inside of the cage. Further, both side plates 1 can be connected from the inside of the cage by use of a main fastening member.
