PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a 'tatami' mat carrying device which is easy to operate in carrying a 'tatami' mat, light in weight, and easy on a wrist by turning its grip part. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a single or a plurality of needles 2 penetrating through the back surface plate of a roughly L-shaped bent body 1 to facilitate removal from a 'tatami' mat, and springs 3 to protect a hand. A hinge 5 is fitted on one end of the roughly L-shaped bent body 1. A shaft 8 is fitted in the center of the outside of a push plate, on the other end. The shaft 8 penetrates through the back face part of a U-shaped handhold 6. The U-shaped handhold 6 and a grip shank 7 are fitted so as to turn freely.
