摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the light-resistance, especially the ultraviolet ray-resistance of a recording layer by providing an ultraviolet ray absorbing layer which shuts off the entering of ultraviolet rays to the recording layer, or damps the strength of ultraviolet rays, in a thermally reversible recording medium which is equipped with the recording layer containing a coloring agent and a color developing-subtracting agent, on a supporting body. SOLUTION: A medium 10 is equipped with a supporting body 11, a recording layer 13 and an ultraviolet ray absorbing layer 15, which are provided on the supporting body 11 in order. In this case, the supporting body 11 is made of various kinds of materials in response to usages of the thermally reversible recording medium 10. Also, the recording layer 13 is a layer containing at least a coloring agent, and a color developing-subtracting agent. In addition, the ultraviolet ray absorbing layer 15 is a layer which shuts off the entering of ultraviolet rays to the recording layer 13, or damps the strength of ultraviolet rays. Then, as the ultraviolet absorbing layer 15, a layer containing a binder and a material having an ultraviolet ray absorbing power, which is dispersed in the binder, is provided. Or, the ultraviolet ray absorbing layer 15 may be formed of a layer of a substance wherein a polymer having a functional group which absorbs ultraviolet rays as the principal chain, is crosslinked.
