PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain NOx purification action for a long time by a silver-carried alumina catalyst by disposing the silver-carried alumina catalyst for denitration and deodorization to an exhaust gas line of a GHP(gas engine heat pump) system and adding a fuel gas to be supplied to an engine into exhaust gas in an upstream side of catalyst layer. SOLUTION: Combustion exhaust gas generated in a gas engine 1 is introduced to a heat exchanger 3 and exhausted from a conduit 4. At this time, heat of exhausted gas is recovered to a heating medium passing closed circuit having a radiator 6, an exhaust heat recovery device 7, a cooler 8 for the gas engine or the like by the heat exchanger 3. In the exhaust heat recovery device 7, heat exchange between the recovered heat of exhaust gas and refrigerant in a refrigerating cycle is carried out, thereby generating hot air in indoor equipment. At this time, a silver-carried alumina catalyst for denitration and deodorization is disposed to an exhaust system of the gas engine 1. A part of fuel gas to be supplied to the engine is added to the exhaust gas at an upstream side of the catalyst to supplement a shortage of hydrocarbon required for reducing NOx, whereby NOx purification action in the catalyst is maintained over a long term.
