PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner allowing screws to be fastened easily by an automatic machine even if a suction tool storage part opening to the rear side of the upper housing is formed, capable of attaching/detaching an auxiliary suction tool easily. SOLUTION: A screw fastening part 14 is formed on the bottom wall 12 of a suction tool storage part 11 of this vacuum cleaner, and a notch 19 corresponding to the screw fastening part 14 is formed on the opening edge of the upper wall 18 of the suction tool storage room 11. The notch 19 is formed in a circular arc covering from the opening edge of the upper wall 18 to the upper part of the suction tool storage position. And a dent 13 covering from the opening edge of the bottom wall 12 to the lower part of the suction tool storage position is formed on the bottom wall 12 of the suction tool storage part 11, and the screw fastening part 14 is formed in the dent 13.
