PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composite interior finishing material excellent in designedness at low cost by a method wherein a designed texture woven fabric and a base layer made of a carded web are piled up so as to apply a needle punching from the surface of the base layer in order to pass through the designed texture, resulting in raising the fibers of the base layer to the surface of the designed texture so as to develop the design pattern in a raising. SOLUTION: As a designed texture 1, a woven fabric having a knitted pattern 3 by means of meshes 2 is employed. After the designed texture 1 and a base layer 4 are laminated to each other, a needle punching is applied with a needle punching machine 5 from the surface of the base layer 4 so as to pass through the designed texture 1 in order to raise 6 the fibers of the base layer on the surface of the designed texture 1. An obtained composite interior finishing material may well be used as it is. However, by applying a resin processing over the surface of the base layer 4 as the rear surface of the obtained composite interior finishing material, the fibers are prevented from falling down out of the composite interior finishing material. Further, by mixing hot melt fibers with the base layer 4 and applying the resin processing after being needle-punched, the fibers are prevented from falling down out of the composite interior finishing material.
