PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a falling prevention device for tiles and pebbles by preventing the falling of tiles and pebbles into sewerage during replacement work for a lid holding frame for manhole and by making it unnecessary to perform pick-up work which is accompanied by a danger. SOLUTION: This is a falling prevention device for tiles and pebbles, which is used for the work of replacing a lid holding frame 7 fitted to a manhole 6. In this case, the device comprises a ring-shaped frame body 2 with the diameter larger than the inner diameter of the holding frame 7, a suspended frame body 3 with the diameter slightly smaller than the inner diameter of the holding frame 7, a fallen object storing portion 4 keeping the fallen objects using the side of the suspended frame body 3 provided in one united body with the body 3 as a storing opening, and a coupling member 5 for connecting the ring-shaped frame body 2 and the suspended frame body 3.
