摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyimide the mol.wt. and structure of which can be arbitrarily selected by reacting an inorganic compound having amino groups on the surface alternately with a monomer (A) having amino-reactive groups and a monomer (B) having amino groups. SOLUTION: An inorganic compound having amino groups on the surface is reacted alternately with a monomer A (e.g. pyromellitic dianhydride) having amino-reactive groups and a monomer B (e.g. diaminodiphenyl ether) having amino groups, repeatedly each 3-50 times, and after the completion of reaction, the resultant polymer is dehydrated under heating to give a polyimide. The inorganic compound is an oxide or a composite oxide of aluminum, titanium or the like and has amino groups directly or indirectly bonded to the surface. Preferably, the inorganic compound has such a chemical structure that amino groups are bonded to silicone atoms via divalent hydrocarbon groups by the reaction of a silane compound of the formula with the surface of the oxide. In the formula, R is a divalent aromatic group, alkylene or the like; (n) is 1-3; X1 to X3 are each Cl, methoxy or the like.
