发明名称 METHOD FOR MOUNTING ELECTRON GUN ON NECK GLASS
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the emission characteristics of an electron gun from deterioration by mounting the electron gun in a neck glass for cathode ray tubes followed by sealing the rim of a stem base glass on the open end of the neck glass using a sealing compound. SOLUTION: When a neck glass and a stem base glass are sealed together using a sealing compound, heating temperature can be significantly lowered. Therefore, when an electron gun with an imprecathode is mounted on the neck glass, the oxidation of the cathode material can be prevented. The sealing compound to be used is such one as to be sealable at low temperatures, capable of airtight sealing, and have a thermal expansion coefficient close to those of the neck glass and stem base glass so as not to develop thermal strain in sealing such kinds of glass; specifically, being one comprising 70-99 wt.% of crystalline glass powder and 1-30 wt.% of refractory filler powder; wherein the crystalline glass is suitably PbO-B2O3-ZnO-based glass or the like, and the refractory filler is suitably zircon or the like.
