MEASURING METHOD FOR LATERAL PRESSURE LOADED ON EARTH RETAINING TIMBERING FRAME, AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring method for lateral pressure applied to an earth retaining timbering frame for accurately measuring the actual lateral pressure loaded on an earth retaining wall by measuring stress deformation of a strain member adjacent to the earth retaining wall, and a device therefor. SOLUTION: A measuring method for lateral pressure applied to an earth retaining timbering frame is so constituted that a strain member 6 is made to lie between an earth retaining wall 1 of the earth retaining timbering frame and a wale 2 connected to a shore strut 3 and that stress deformation of the strain member 6 is measured by a strain gauge 15. A device therefor loads a backing instrument 4 into a space between the earth retaining wall 1 and wale 2, the strain member 6 adjacent to the earth retaining wall 1 is provided at the backing instrument 4, and the strain gauge 15 for measuring stress deformation is attached to the strain member 6.
