PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the miniaturization of the whole machine even in the case where a cap frame is set to a smaller size matching the pitch of machine heads while securing a sufficient angle of rotation of the cap frame. SOLUTION: This apparatus comprises an X-driving body 50, a driving ring 66 and a cable 70. The X-driving body 50 is assembled so that it moves in the y-direction integrally with a supporting body 46 of a frame driving mechanism, and moves in the X-direction relatively to the supporting body 46 by an X-direction driving part of the frame driving mechanism. On a driving ring 66, a cap frame 88 can be installed so that it can rotate around an axis of the Y-direction against the supporting body 46. The cable 70 is wound on the driving ring 66, and both the ends of the cable 70 are bound to the X-driving body 50 side. The length in the X-direction of the X-driving body 50 is set to such a size that adjacent cap frame units do not interfere with each other. At the same time, an extension member 80, which extends in the X-direction at a position where it is free from the interference with the X-driving body of the adjacent cap frame units, is fixed at the end of the X-driving body 50. The end of the cable 70 is bound to the extension member 80.
