PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the floor finishing quantity of a building-side receiving beam part to shorten the term of constructing work by providing a vertically adjustable base under the support part of a body frame so that a liner can be placed thereon. SOLUTION: This passenger conveyor comprises footsteps endlessly connected and moved to an upper getting-on and -off part 3, a handrail moving synchronously with the footsteps, and a body frame 7 extending to the upper getting-on and -off part 3. A base 12 is suspended from the support part 8 of the body frame 7 through a bolt 13, and the receiving beam opening depth of a building and the mounting height hB of the base 12 are set to the same height, so that a liner 11 can be preliminarily inserted to the clearance between the support part 8 and the base 12 and placed on the receiving beam of the building. According to this, the insertion of the liner 11 is dispensed with so that the building receiving beam opening can be minimized, and the height regulation after installation is also dispensed with. According to this, the working property can be enhanced, and the term of works can be shortened.
