PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain a fishing rod smoothly operable in fishing activities with favorable grip holdability. SOLUTION: This fishing rod has a grip 3 which, in turn, comprises a pair of 1st grip pieces 4a, 4b disposed 180 deg. apart from each other on the circumferential surface of the tip side of a reel sheet 2, a pair of 2nd grip pieces 5a, 5b disposed 180 deg. apart from each other on the circumferential surface of the main rod 1 on the tip side of the 1st grip pieces 4, and a tube material 6 fixed onto the circumferential surface of the main rod 1 so as to cover both the 1st grip pieces 4 and the 2nd grip pieces 5.
