PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrences of operation failure of a drain pump by cleaning the inside of the pump with deiced water which has been recovered to an ice making tank in a deicing operation. SOLUTION: When an ice detecting means 52, which is arranged in an ice storage, detects the storage be filled with ice during deicing operation in a repeated cycle operation of ice making operation→draining operation→deicing operation, a control unit 50 effects control, upon receipt of detection signals from the means 52, so that cleaning operation is conducted after completion of the deicing operation. Specifically, defrosted water (the next ice making water) which has been detained in an ice making tank 18 in the deicing operation, is discharged outside the machine after being flowed through a drain pump 28 with the operation of the drain pump 28. The deiced water which is flowed through the drain pump 28 has low impurity concentration such as of silica or the like, and therefore deposit precipitated in the drain pump 28 can be washed away while repeating the normal cycle operation.
