PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floating body structure that can suppress its own deflection when it receives waves on its ends. SOLUTION: A pair of longer sides 11 longitudinally parallel to each other and a pair of shorter sides 12 interconnecting the proximal ends of the longer sides 11 meet at an angleθ1 of 135 deg., and the shorter sides 12 are chevron-shaped. Waves incident on the shorter sides 12 are reflected outward so that the floating body structure receive reduced vibro-motive force on its ends and thus has appreciably reduced deflection.
