PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power source for the other power circuit when a secondary winding or a following unit of one power circuit is broken. SOLUTION: This power-supply unit 1 is to supply power to a main lamp 9 for supply illumination light to an endoscope by the first input from a commercial power source, to supply power to an emergency lamp 16b, a spare for the main lamp 9, separately from the main lamp 9, and to supply power to a patient circuit 16c for driving/controlling the endoscope for imaging and to a second circuit 16a electrically insulated from the patient circuit 16c for processing image signals from the endoscope.
