摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably and appropriately maintain the breathing property of a sintered raw material layer over an entire sintering period by filling a granular substance that is prepared separately from the sintered raw material into a cavity. SOLUTION: A cavity 9 is formed in a sintered raw material layer 8 by a breathing plate, a through hole 15 is provided inside a plate-shaped body for filling a granular substance into the cavity, and a shell 16 for feeding the granular substance is inserted. Then, the shell 16 is provided with a pneumatic carrier means 18 that is connected to a hopper 17 for the granular substance. More specifically, the granular substance from a cutting device 19 is continuously supplied to the cavity 9 by a carrier gas 20 that is introduced to the shell 16, thus maintaining an air passage with a constantly stable shape at the middle and lower layers of the raw material layer while the sintered raw material layer is being sintered and hence suppressing the irregular burning due to the decrease and disturbance of a breathing property while the sintered raw material layer is being operated, decrease in productivity, and the like.
