PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a malfunction of a single-rail carrier which starts abruptly when motive power is transmitted to a centrifugal clutch at higher rotation of an engine which is operated when started by a self-starting motor or a recoil starter with a clutch lever being in an ON state. SOLUTION: A power car for a single-rail carrier, wherein motive power is transmitted from an engine 1 through a centrifugal clutch 10 to a reduction gear, and a drive wheel is provided at a final shaft to obtain thrust when engaged with a rail, is constructed such that clutch lever 25 is provided to engage and disengage the motive power, and when the clutch lever 25 is in an ON state, a stop brake 15 provided at an intermediate shaft of the reduction gear is disengaged, while the stop brake 15 is actuated when the clutch lever 25 is in an OFF state. Also, an arm 5 is provided for engagement with the clutch lever 25 to maintain transmission in the OFF state when the engine 1 is not in operation.
