PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent hot water temperature from dropping even when a water heater is operated in the vicinity of limit capacity of a hot water storage tank by providing a control means for closing and resetting an automatic valve when water supply reaches a level stored in a hot water quantity memory means. SOLUTION: A control means 7 opens an automatic valve 6 when a solar water heater is not used according to a time program where the time can be specified and closes the automatic valve 6 when water supply detected by a second water quantity sensor 51 reaches a level stored in a hot water quantity memory means 71. The control means 7 also resets the hot water quantity memory means 71 and compares water supply detected by the second water quantity sensor with a level stored in the hot water quantity memory means 71 according to a program installed in a control circuit and turns a transistor switch for opening the automatic valve 6 on when the detected water supply is lower otherwise turns the transistor switch off. According to the arrangement, hot water can be used up to the vicinity of limit capacity of the hot water storage tank 2 in night time.
