PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable detection and count of flying frequency of small-sized flying insects in good accuracy. SOLUTION: In a flying insect-detecting device, in which a photoelectric sensor for detecting flying insects which pass through a passage is installed in the passage through which flying insects pass, speed of response of the photoelectric sensor 3 is kept to <=1 ms and sensing signal of the photoelectric sensor 3 is amplified by an amplifier unit and counted by a counter and counted value is displayed by a monitor 12.
