<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid an obstacle when there is that obstacle in a traveling direction concerning a wheelchair which can be traveled in any arbitrary direction on a plane. SOLUTION: This wheelchair is provided with an obstacle avoiding means 10 for avoiding the obstacle around the wheelchair. The obstacle avoiding means 10 is provided with a sensor 12 for detecting the obstacle around the wheelchair and when this sensor 12 detects any obstacle, a detecting signal is transmitted to a controller 13. On the basis of the detecting signal, the controller 13 judges whether or not the wheelchair is to be stopped. When it is judged the wheelchair is to be stopped, a stop signal is transmitted to the brake 14 and the wheelchair is stopped.</p> |
