PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give disinfecting effect and sterilizing effect to improve safety of an X-ray imaging unit equipped with an X-ray imaging tube to convert an X-ray image inputted from outside to visible rays and an outer container to house the X-ray tube by forming an antibacterial layer comprising an antibacterial material onto the outer container. SOLUTION: The X-ray imaging tube 12 housed in an outer container 11 has a vacuum enclosure 13 on one side of which an input part 14 to convert X-ray to photoelectron is disposed. On the opposite position against the input part 14, an output part 15 on which photoelectron outputted from the input part 14 is made incident and which converts the incidence photoelectron to a visible ray and outputs is disposed. Between the input part 14 and the output part 15, a focusing electrodes 16a, 16b to focus and accelerate photoelectron and an anode 17 are arranged. A shield layer composed mainly of lead for preventing leak of X-ray is formed on the inside face of the outer container 11 and an antibacterial layer is formed on the outer side face of the outer container 11 for protecting the X-ray imaging unit from nosocomial infection.
