PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a melt-transfer type ink image receiving sheet which has a favorable anti-blocking property, is excellent in a graduation reproducibility, and the clearness of color images, and by which a glossiness of an intermediate tone, and an ink image recording of a high recording density can be obtained. SOLUTION: This melt-transfer type ink image receiving sheet has a sheet- form supporting body, and a porous ink image receiving layer which is formed at least on one surface of the supporting body by applying an air bubble- containing application liquid, obtained by applying a mechanical stirring to a resin-containing liquid wherein a water dispersion type polyurethane based resin is the major component, and drying the application liquid, and the glass transition temperature of the water dispersion type polyurethane based resin is 20-100 deg.C, and the average air bubble diameter on the surface of the porous ink image receiving layer is 0.5-30 μm. In this case, as a polyol to be used for the manufacture of the water dispersion type polyurethane based resin, one wherein a diol compound of which the molecular weight is 62-200 is blended by 1-30 wt.%, is preferably used. In addition, the glossiness based on JIS P 8142 of the surface of the porous ink image receiving layer is preferably 15-60%. |
