PURPOSE: A device for a sudden braking of a vehicle is provided to safely brake a vehicle when an engine is stopped and generation of brake pressure is failed. CONSTITUTION: A sudden braking device(20) comprises: a starting switch(26) applying power of a battery with response to stoppage of an engine; a relay(28) turned on by the power applied via a vehicle speed sensor; a control switch(32) turning off a jump switch(30) by being turned on via a gap thermally expanded due to the power applied via the relay and the jump switch; a power transistor(40) applying power by repetition of refrigeration and thermal expansion of the gas in the control switch; a first actuator(42) operating a brake pedal by application of high voltage power through the power transistor; a second actuator(46) unlocking a parking brake lever with response to application of the high voltage power upon application of power to the first actuator; and a third actuator(52) operated by the power applied to the second actuator for pulling a parking brake cable. According to mutual repeated action of the actuators, a vehicle safely brakes on a slope road.
