PURPOSE: A flat panel display driving apparatus is provided to perform varying the amount of electrons emitted from a cell and gray scale process on the panel by driving a cathode using current control method. CONSTITUTION: The device includes a shift register(10), a latch(20), an AND gate(30), a plurality of NPN transistors, a plurality of operational amplifiers, and a plurality of current limiting devices. The shift register synchronizes a video signal from outside with a clock and performs sequential shifting on the result. The latch stores temporarily and outputs the video signal which is input sequentially from the shift register. The AND gate varies the output time of the video signal output from the latch. The NPN transistors receive the video signal from the AND gate, performs gray scale process on the received signal and are coupled between a lower terminal of the cathode and ground. Individual operational amplifier is coupled with the transistor, respectively so as to perform switch control on the corresponding transistor. Each of the current limiting devices is coupled with each of the transistors and the ground and has resistance different from one another.
