METHOD FOR SHIFTING CURSOR THE OSD DISPLAY IN THE DEVICE

PURPOSE: A method for moving a cursor in an on-screen display device is provided to enable a user to easily and rapidly select specific items displayed on a screen by moving a position of a cursor in 8 directions on the screen. CONSTITUTION: A microcomputer receives and decodes a command for moving a cursor in one direction among 8 directions on a screen of a CRT. Address pointer data of a determined block coordinate of a video RAM are changed according to the direction decoded by the microcomputer. The address pointer data are deleted. A cursor pointer is loaded to an address changed. A cursor is outputted from a character generation ROM and displayed.
