PURPOSE: Connecting structure for a transmission operating cable and a manual control lever is provided to keep the durability and operating performance while connecting the transmission operating cable and the manual control lever with more degrees of freedom. CONSTITUTION: To connect a transmission operating cable(1) to a manual control lever through a coupling body(3), a ball(2) is formed in the transmission operating cable and a round grabbing portion is formed in the coupling body with a separation preventing device. The separation preventing device prevents the ball from being separated from the rounded grabbing portion. In this structure, the transmission operating cable doesn't need to be installed in parallel to the rotating plane of the manual control lever.
