PURPOSE: A stand is provided to settle an engine by freely adjusting width depending on a sort of an engine. CONSTITUTION: A simple variable stand comprises posts(10) fixed in both sides spacing apart from each other, supports(30) inserted into the posts for upwardly and downwardly moving elastically by elastic members(20), settling plates(40) angularly moving via hinge pins(31) protruding onto the supports while being integrated with vertical boards(41) having L-shaped width adjusting grooves(42). For holding an engine(50), the engine is placed onto the mounting boards and supported horizontal. Width of the stand is adjusted depending on the shape of an oil pan(51) of the engine.
