<p>PURPOSE: A remote control apparatus of a system of a digital cable TV is provided to at a long distance control and monitor a VSB/QAM receiver without assigning a specific frequency band as converting a state watching data of the VSB/QAM receiver into a QPSK to transmit upward according to inserting a control data into each channel of an HE(head end) to transmit. CONSTITUTION: The remote control apparatus includes a transmitting unit and a receiving unit. The transmitting unit loads a control signal(ID) for a remote control of a VSB/QAM receiver for an HDTV to an MPEG transport stream to transmit and, at a long distance, monitors and controls the state of the VSB/QAM receiver for the HDTV according to a state watching signal inputted from the VSB/QAM receiver for the HDTV. The receiving unit receives the control signal from the transmitting unit to control the VSB/QAM receiver for the HDTV and transmits to the transmitting unit by modulating the state watching signal of the VSB/QAM receiver for the HDTV. The transmitting unit includes an MPEG encoder(1), a VSB/QAM modulating portion(2), a multiplexing portion(3), a diplex filter(4), a master modem(5) and a controlling portion(6).</p> |
